Easy White Sangria Recipe That Is Perfect For Springtime

When I was experimenting with this recipe, I thought I was for sure going to call it “Summertime Recipe”, but then I put together a different recipe that just screams summer, so I’m saving that one for when it’s officially summer. Ok now I’m rambling. Let’s get to it. This recipe is extremely easy and takes less than 30 minutes! Make sure to read my hot tips for when to serve, how to serve, substitutes, all that good stuff. Here is my easy white sangria recipe…

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of dry white wine, we used a Sav Blanc!
  • 3/4 triple sec
  • 1/4 syrup
  • Splash of Aperol
  • Lemon or lime soda to top with, optional
  • 10 strawberries
  • 2 big lemons, or three small ones
  • 1 nectarine
  • 2 limes
  • 2 kiwis
  • Ice

HOT TIPS:

  • Use Aperol or Limoncello for white sangria
  • Put ice at the bottom of the pitcher (I always forget this one)
  • If you plan on letting it sit overnight, only use half the fruit listed above so that it doesn’t become too bitter
  • If it’s too sweet, cut it with some lime soda.
  • Too bitter? Add in more simple syrup in tablespoon increments.
  • Aaaaaaaand if it’s too bitter/citrusy, add in lime soda to water it down or simple syrup to make it sweeter.
  • Other fruit you can use for a white sangria are: mangos, green apple, peaches, berries

Instructions:

1. Cut all of your fruit in whichever way you want. I cut the larger fruit like the orange and strawberries into little quarters, the smaller fruit like the limes and lemons into half moon shapes, the peach into quarter moon shapes, and the kiwi sliced. Add all of your fruit to the pitcher.

2. Pour that entire gorgeous bottle of white wine into your pitcher. We used a Sauvignon Blanc from Winc but you can use any dry white wine. Here’s a list of popular dry whites you can use!

3. Add in triple sec, simple syrup, and a splash of Aperol. Or more, nobody is judging. Stir well and do some quality control, AKA taste it!

4. You can serve immediately or leave it overnight to soak in all the fruit. Note that if you leave it overnight, you’ll want to use half the fruit and you may need to add more simple syrup or lime soda as it’s going to be a bit more bitter. See my HOT TIPS above for more details.

5. In a glass, add more cut up fruit and ice. Pour sangria almost all the way full. Top off with lemon or lime soda (optional but recommended if you want it a little carbonated).

6. DRINK THAT SANGRIA BABY!
