We went to Whole Foods a few weeks ago and found pink lemons (yes, pink lemons), and I’ve been thinking about how to use them for a little while. I mean, I knew it’d probably be for a cocktail recipe but I wasn’t exactly sure what. After some trial and error, I think I perfected this vodka raspberry lemonade cocktail recipe but I wanna know what you all think too! This is the perfect combination of sweet and sour, and you can totally adjust it to your liking. Keep scrolling to get the deets!
Ingredients:
2 oz vodka
1oz simple syrup
2 large lemons, juiced
10 raspberries
Soda water, to top off with
Ice
Instructions:
1. Line the bottom of your glass with raspberries and muddle until fully smashed. If you don’t want raspberry bits in your drink, skip this step. These are the glasses we used and they are amazing – very versatile. Check out my full roundup of cocktail glasses here, there are some GREAT ones)
2. Fill your glass with ice.
3. Add vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice (our bomb and CHEAP juicer), 5 raspberries, and ice to a shaker. Shake for about 30 seconds.
4. Strain into your glass, top with soda water (or any berry flavored soda water), and add a lemon for garnish and voila! All done!
5. LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE AND ENJOY.
This raspberry lemonade cocktail is so tart and sweet and fruity and I just love it. Would you opt for raspberry bits in your drink or strain them out? That’s kind of the point of this smash cocktail but…my boyfriend doesn’t like them and I do so I get both sides 🙂
How is your week going? Hopefully better with this drink! Let me know in the comments if you try this and what you think. Until the next one friends 🙂
