25 of the Best and Most Heart Warming Romantic Comedies to Snuggle Up To This Weekend

Grab your love, a soft blanket, pet, favorite drink, whatever makes you happy and get ready to have your heart strings tugged at with these romantic comedies. Disclaimer: this list is in no particular order. These are also more recent rom-coms (1990s – 2000s) but I plan to do a post on a romantic comedy from the past few decades. Stay tuned and Happy Friday friends!

Crazy, Stupid, Love

Crazy, Stupid, Love. is one filled with good jokes, multiple relationships, a hot cast, and just everything you could ever want.

Always Be My Maybe

A story about old friends reconnecting after a long time, Always Be My Maybe hits the spot when it comes to romantic comedies.

About Time

Much deeper than your typical rom-com, About Time is about a man who travels back in time to create his perfect love story. But, it comes with some hurdles.

The Big Sick

The Big Sick covers love, culture, and friendships.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before because…don’t we all need a corny teen movie from time to time?

Just Friends

Ah, Just Friends. I could watch it time and time again. A true transformational love story.

The Switch

We loooooove a good Jen Aniston movie. The Switch is definitely one of her more lighthearted ones, and such a gem.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. A classic of all romantic comedies. If you know, you know.

Love Actually

If you want nine love stories packed into one single movie, Love Actually is it. It’s incredible.

No Strings Attached

The old tale of friends with benefits and how it never really works out as just that. No Strings Attached tells this same tale.

Friends with Benefits

On the topic of friends with benefits, watch Friends with Benefits.

The Holiday

It’s always time for a Christmas movie right? If you agree, The Holiday is for you.

Long Shot

Unexpected cast, unexpectedly good: Long Shot.

Five Feet Apart

Five Feet Apart is sad, funny, romantic, gut wrenching and it WILL bring you to tears.

Shallow Hal

An oldie but goodie with Gwyneth Paltrow and Jack Black: Shallow Hal.

Clueless

Clueless. No explanation needed. Duh. As if.

Crazy Rich Asians

One whose ending took me by surprise (in the best way possible) was Crazy Rich Asians. I watched it twice in one week.

Hitch

And I cannot even tell you how many times I’ve watched Hitch. Watch it. Just do it.

Mamma Mia!

If you like some music in your romantic comedies, Mamma Mia! is a classic and just such a good one. Even if you don’t like music, still watch it.

10 Things I Hate About You

10 Things I Hate About You is another one that needs no explanation. Those 90s rom-coms!

Wedding Crashers

I’m guilty of knowing almost every single line from Wedding Crashers but that’s only because it is such a GOOD movie. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn crush it.

The Break-Up

Another Vince Vaughn classic…The Break-Up. Our fave Jen Aniston is in this too.

Definitely, Maybe

Definitely, Maybe really pulls at the heart with a cute kid and Ryan Reynolds. So freaking cute.

Trainwreck

Trainwreck because…Amy Schumer.

27 Dresses

27 Dresses is one of my all time favorites!!!! The bar scene…classic. Love it.

I hope you like these and I hope you enjoy your weekend! Let me know which one, if any, you end up watching! And which one if your favorite?! I also found this article on Why We Need Rom-Coms Now More Than Ever.
