Where my people at? Those of us who still drink iced coffee during fall/winter? BC SAME. I don’t care if it’s 40 degrees and chilly, no one is getting in the way of me and my frozen margarita. Especially not this frozen blackberry margarita.
This recipe is literally going to be 30 seconds long because this recipe is THAT EASY.
While we’re on the topic of margaritas, my pineapple habanero marg was insane. Find it here.
What you’ll need:
- 8 blackberries
- 2oz tequila
- 1oz triple sec
- 1oz lime juice
- .5oz agave
- Ice
- Salt and lime zest for rim
What to do:
1. Add all ingredients to your blender.
2. Blend.
3. Pour your frozen blackberry margarita into your chilled margarita glass. We used these from Crate & Barrel and I’m obsessed. They are the perfect classic marg glass.
How To Make The Salt Rim
DO NOT use iodized table salt for the salt rim – it will not taste good.
Method 1: Place coarse kosher salt (you can get some here) on a flat plate. Cut a lime (or lemon) wedge in the center all the way up to the peel and place it on the rim of the glass, sliding it all the way around to cover the rim with lime juice. Dip the rim of the glass straight down into the salt, or you can dip it parallel to the plate if you want a thicker salt rim.
Method 2: Place coarse kosher salt (you can get some here) on a flat plate or bowl. Add lime juice to a separate plate or bowl. Dip in the rim of your glass into the lime juice first, then dip it in the salt, and voila!
!!!! HOT TIPS !!!!
- If you don’t like the seeds in the blackberries you can either blend the blackberries first (add a few more to account for the straining) and strain the juice and THEN add all ingredients to your blender. OR you can blend everything first and then strain it. I don’t care about the seeds AT ALL so I skip this step and get to the drinking 🙂
So now I need to know…aside from did you try this frozen blackberry margarita…more importantly are you an iced coffee in the winter type of person or no? Are you my people or no?! TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS BELOW.
